In the first installment of our curb appeal tips, home décor specialist Lisa Moo focused on landscaping methods to improve your front yard. In part 2, she shares a few ways to use paint to spruce up your curb.
Tip #1: PAINT YOUR FRONT DOOR
Painting your front door is a very simple way to enhance the look of your house. It’s also great because you can choose a color that really stands out and compliments the color of your house. You can easily change the color of your front door without buying much paint and give your house an entire different look.
Tip #2: PAINT YOUR GATE
It so often gets overlooked, but it’s the first thing people notice when they pull up to your house. If you keep your gate looking fresh it sends an immediate first impression that shows pride in home ownership. You can change the color or add accent colors on your gate that, for example, match the trim of your house (especially if it is visible from the gate, it will really make the gate stand out from the street).
Tip #3: PAINT THE TRIM
Painting the trim on the outside of your house instead of painting the whole house is another way to enhance the first impression of your front yard. This is a very simple and cost effective way to improve the overall appearance of your house from afar. House trimming colors can be changed quite easily and inexpensively anytime you wish to give your house a bit of a facelift.
